This handmade eyeglass case is inspired by the “Smile of Silla” sumaksae, a roof-end tile from 7th-century Korea. The original motif’s gentle smile and soft curves are preserved, while the eyes are reimagined as colorful saekdong-patterned sunglasses, adding a playful and contemporary accent.
By blending cultural symbolism with humor and practicality, the design introduces Korean heritage in an approachable, everyday form. Made from soft fabric instead of a rigid hard case, it is lightweight and flexible. A neck strap allows for easy carrying, making it ideal for travel, daily use, and lifestyle-focused markets.
Avoid use or storage near fire or in high-temperature environments.
