A box inspired by the outer bark of a tree.
Reinterpreting the Eastern 'kansal' structure with contemporary techniques, layered elements are built into a three-dimensional form rather than a flat plane to express the texture of tree bark.
The lid can be inverted and used as a small tray, and when the internal partitions are removed, the box becomes a single large container suitable for versatile use.
