This is a moon jar adorned in sambe (traditional Korean hemp cloth). It combines the form of the moon jar with sambe, a traditional Korean summer material. To emphasize its unique characteristics, I focused on the prominent horizontal seam and the natural asymmetry that result from joining two separate upper and lower halves.
Care & Handling
Both the interior and exterior are glazed, making the vase waterproof and safe for holding fresh flowers.
Dishwasher safe, but hand washing with a soft sponge is recommended to preserve the delicate texture.
As each piece is handcrafted, please handle with care to avoid impact.
