This necklace is based on the traditional Korean butterfly knot, translating the flowing movement found in nature into a sculptural form. The repeated arrangement of butterfly knots and freshwater pearls establishes a rhythmic composition, emphasizing a sense of natural beauty.
White topaz stones are incorporated to highlight the reflection and transmission of light, evoking the moment a butterfly is drawn to light and comes to rest. The presence of freshwater pearls introduces a soft vitality, enhancing the overall sense of fluidity and organic balance within the piece.
The reverse side of the necklace is finished with a chrysanthemum knot, adding a subtle reference to East Asian aesthetics. A freshwater pearl suspended beneath the knot moves gently along the chain, creating a soft, wind-like motion.
