Seohodam is a brand rooted in traditional Korean folk painting, created through the collaborative practice of a mother-and-daughter artist duo.
The mother carries forward the original forms and narratives of minhwa, while the daughter reinterprets them through contemporary color and sensibility.
Moving beyond simple modernization, Seohodam expands traditional symbolism through its own distinctive palette and perspective, presenting minhwa as a form of contemporary lifestyle art.
