Jongmyo, the royal shrine honoring the kings of the Joseon Dynasty, is home to Yeongnyeongjeon, a space that symbolizes eternal peace. This work is a brass knob made from a branch found in front of Yeongnyeongjeon. Placed within a space, it allows a quiet sense of calm to gently settle. A small handle carrying a silent prayer, and the breath of nature shaped by time.
This piece is made of brass and may naturally develop changes in color when exposed to air and moisture.
Such changes are characteristic of the material and can be gently managed by wiping with a dry cloth.
