Route Ceramic is a ceramics brand that reinterprets the organic forms of plants and traditional pottery through contemporary techniques.
Focusing on both craftsmanship and usability, the brand creates ceramics that are beautiful, practical for everyday use, and easy to care for.
I am a ceramic artist whose work centers on vessels inspired by nature. Growing up, my parents ran a flower shop, and I was constantly surrounded by plants and the vessels that held them. This environment naturally led to a deep curiosity about containers for plants and the quiet relationship between living forms and the objects that support them. From an early age, I became interested in how clay could shape and cradle life.
My childhood, spent close to nature, nurtured a lasting affection for natural forms and textures. In my practice, I draw inspiration from the organic shapes, surfaces, and rhythms found in the natural world, translating them into ceramic vessels. Through my work, I hope to convey the sense of calm and comfort that nature offers, allowing viewers to experience a moment of rest and gentle connection through each piece.

This work is inspired by the textures of stone and natural surfaces shaped over time. To achieve a precise and consistent thickness, the form was created using the slip-casting technique. This method allowed for controlled construction while maintaining a sense of delicacy appropriate for a vessel intended to hold living plants.
The surface texture emerges through the use of silicon carbide within the glaze, which reacts during firing to create a bubbling, uneven surface. This effect evokes the tactile qualities of stone or coral, emphasizing a raw, organic materiality. While the texture references solid natural forms, the overall shape is guided by the flowing, graceful curves observed in plants.
